Meet the maker is an independent design & create leather workshop based in Cumbria, United Kingdom.

Founded in the fall of 2014, this small brand reflects a story of growth; a journey from design fascination to collaborations with world famous interior designers and taste makers. Its mission is to create timeless leather goods that serve clear purposes and are simple in form and function; from items for personal use, as well as interior design elements for home, office and more.

At each product is crafted by hand with care, using the finest materials available and employing techniques that have been tested for centuries by generations of leather artisans.

Every  step of the work, from design, production and packaging is handled personally by Carmina Ardelean (Minu).

Advocate of Minimalism, sustainable & zero waste lifestyle, Carmina aims to keep a family-owned, sustainable and fair trade brand focused on traditionally made leather goods created for a lifetime of use. In her craft, Carmina seeks to preserve the all-hand-made nature of each product, without the use of industrial machinery, assembly lanes or sweat shops. Thus, due the long process each item goes through, from raw material to finished piece, all of the products come with the guarantee of being limited edition.

When she is not in her studio with her 3 rescue dogs, she's outdoors, hiking, or running errands and hoping she was in her studio (or hiking).
